Most antiepileptic drugs (AEDs)
were contraindicated in co-administration with
NOACs because of potential interactions that may
cause an increased risk of bleeding or reduced
antithrombotic efficacy. Epileptic seizures following
ischemic stroke are common. So far, there was
limited evidence of NOACs and clinical outcomes
in patients who concurrently use AEDs.
